Creating your own Valentine’s Day photo wall is easy and makes for the cutest backdrop! We decided to take mother-daughter photos for Valentine’s Day in matching pajamas and I will forever treasure these photos. Life is busy and messy at times, but I always encourage you to stop and take the photos! These littles don’t stay little for long. See how to DIY your own Valentine’s Day photo wall and props that are perfect for getting those cute smiles from kids!
DIY Valentine’s Day Photo Wall
Supplies:
Pack of heart balloons (alternative)
Command strip adhesive (optional)
Directions:
– Determine what size of photo wall you need and how many balloons you will need to inflate. I used 16 balloons on the wall (4 rows, 4 columns) and had a few inches spaced between each balloon. This design created a generously-sized photo backdrop for our photos. If you plan on having a lot of people in the photos you may want more balloons, but for a couple people 16 balloons should be sufficient.
– Inflate balloons. Tape the balloon tail to the back of the balloon to get the perfect heart shape.
– Place adhesive on the back of balloons. The adhesive that comes with the pack of balloons works well for short term. For a stronger hold, cut up pieces of command strip adhesive.
– Attach balloons to the wall.
Valentine’s Photo Prop Ideas:
– Extra balloons
– Heart Sunglasses
– Stickers
– Heart Water Bottle
– Valentine’s Necklaces
Our Outfits:
We used matching pajamas and these worked perfectly! They are my daughter’s favorite so she was comfortable and happy. This brand is SOOO soft and they come available in several designs that are perfect for holidays and birthdays.
If you are taking photos with kids, do lots of moving and dancing to bring out those cute, chubby smiles! Have fun!
Live your life joyfully so,
Ashley
