Your Guide to the 2024 Summer Lilly Sunshine Sale + Fall Collection

The 2024 Summer Lilly Sunshine Sale is quickly approaching! The Lilly Sunshine Sale is always one of my favorite sales each year – and I like to go big! Deals are typically up to 70% off. I have been covering Lilly sales for years and I have a few tips and tricks I want to share with you! Included in this Lilly Sunshine Sale guide are Lilly Pulitzer styles, date predictions, sale items and more. My hope is to be a resource for you, so that you can feel confident in the pieces that you decide to invest in and wear throughout the seasons.

Lilly Pulitzer Fall Collection

The hallmark of Lilly Pulitzer’s style is the use of cheerful colors and bold, whimsical prints. What a better way to demonstrate this than to share the new Lilly Pulitzer fall collection! Here are a few favorites from the fall collection! For size reference, I am 5’3″. My true Lilly dress size is XS. The fall collection will not be included in the Lilly Sunshine Sale. Not to worry, I have a list of predicted sale items below!

Lilly Pulitzer Deacon Dress | Lilly Sunshine Sale — Dress

Deacon Dress: This dress is beautiful and so comfortable! The skirt is lined, it features flowy sleeves and elastic at the waist to create a slimming figure. Truly a top pick in my book! Wearing size 0, runs a little big. Video

Crochet dress | Summer 2024 Lilly Pulitzer Sale Guide — Dress

Marquette Crochet Dress: This dress caught my eye from afar! The intricate crochet pattern adds texture and visual interest, making it a standout piece in any wardrobe! The fabric is heavier and can also be easily layered with a chic cardigan or jacket. Wearing size XS, fits true to size.

Elsa Silk Top: Whimsical and fun, this top has so many playful colors that can be easily layered with other Lilly solid colors. I love that you can simply throw on this top with a pair of jeans and feel put together. The fabric is lightweight and airy. Wearing XS, fits true to size or slightly big. Video

2024 Fall Collection at Lilly Pulitzer — Dress

Elsey Dress: If you are like me and have wanted a “true red” at Lilly Pulitzer, this red is oh so close! Style this throughout the fall and winter, and jazz it up for the holidays! Lengthwise, this comes a couple inches above my knees. Has a fitted silhouette. Wearing XS. Video

Marcelina Midi Dress: This versatile dress is suitable for a variety of occasions, from casual outings to more formal events. It has a flowing silhouette with an optional ribbon belt. I am 5’3″ and wearing heels, and this fit closer to a maxi length that came a couple inches off the ground. Video

Varsity stripe top at Lilly Pulitzer — Top

Suzette Sweater: The varsity stripes with the cable knit infuse a sporty, collegiate vibe that is perfect for fall! Pair this with high-waisted jeans, a pleated skirt, or the coordinating blue skirt for a look that is both comfortable and on-trend. I bought this sweater and plan on wearing it for casual occasions and game day to support the Dallas Cowboys! The length is slightly short, but not cropped. Wearing XS, runs true to size or slightly small. Video

Colorful shirt with Lilly Pulitzer fall collection 2024 — Rhett

Rhett Top: Paisley is the new plaid this season, and this top brings both color and style. I love the puff sleeves and vibrant print! Wearing XS, fits true to size. Video

Esli Sweater Tank: This is one of those cases where photographs don’t give this peace enough credit – it’s stunning! There is a beautiful metallic shimmer woven into this tank and it can be worn with shorts, layered with a cardigan and dazzling as part of a holiday ensemble! It’s a ribbed fabric, so I sized up one for a looser fit. Wearing small.

Gretchen Shorts: If you find yourself wearing shorts often, these are a great piece to invest in. The quality is incredible and they have a modest fit. You can pair them with virtually any Lilly Pulitzer top to create several outfits! Wearing size 4, fits true to size.

Activewear | 2024 Lilly Sunshine Sale — Dress

Alona Dress: This is one of my favorite active dresses from Lilly Pulitzer recently! It’s comfortable and flowy, with separate blue undershorts for added coverage. Per one of the sales associates, this may also be coming out soon in black! Wearing small, fits true to size. Video

Edita Shift Dress: Wow, this shift dress is radiant and so comfortable! It’s technically from the summer collection but worth a feature. If you want a piece that brings both style and comfort, try this dress! The soft fabric and how it embodies the Lilly print makes this a standout piece for me. It currently boasts a perfect 5 star rating, and I have to agree. Love this dress! See it in orange and more inventory here.

What items will be in the 2024 Lilly Sunshine Sale?

Thousands of items! This truly is the BEST sale of the year! The sale will likely include items from the spring collection and some of the summer collection. There are also several items not currently on Lilly’s website that will be included in the Lilly Sunshine Sale!

The majority of the items in the New Arrivals section on Lilly’s website will be excluded from the sale. There are always a few exceptions though, and a handful of newer pieces do get added to the sale. Stay tuned as the sale date nears for more information!

When is the 2024 Summer Lilly Sunshine Sale?

It’s always a surprise! Typically the sale takes place in early September – but Lilly Pulitzer occasionally shakes things up. Let’s look back at past sale online Sunshine Sale dates:

2023: September 12-14
2022: September 12-14
2021: September 13-14
2020: September 14-15
2019: September 9-11
2018: September 10-12

If history repeats itself, the sale will likely begin in the first half of September. Narrowing it down, Lilly has not done the sale on Labor Day weekend, which this year is September 2nd. So this first week of September is less likely. While I have no official insight, at this time, the week of September 9th seems to be most fitting for the Lilly Sunshine Sale to be scheduled. The sale typically includes a couple days of in-store sale shopping, followed by a few days of the huge online portion of the sale. Then, there are new releases tentatively scheduled for September 16th. Subscribe for an update as soon as I get the official date!

Where else can I buy Lilly Pulitzer on sale?

Besides the Lilly Sunshine Sale, there are a few other places to look for Lilly Pulitzer discounts. Let’s break it down.

During the Lilly Sunshine Sale
Besides shopping through Lilly Pulitzer directly, there are retailers I recommend shopping for additional Lilly Pulitzer sale finds during the Lilly Sunshine Sale. These are great options if you want (1) to browse a favorite item for additional inventory, (2) somewhere that may offer returns.

Try these retailers on the day of the sale:
Option A: Shop EARLY in the morning on the first day of the Lilly sale, around 2am CST; discounts can vary but they had several items that matched Lilly’s prices. Other than items marked final sale, returns are accepted!
Option B: In the past, several items were priced the same as Lilly Sunshine Sale prices or a flat 40% off. Returns are usually accepted.
Option C: Previous sale prices were 50% off for kids and variable prices for women. Returns accepted. I find they have the best inventory for kids!
Option D: For Amazon Prime members, you can get several items on sale and with quick shipping!

What retailers are similar to Lilly Pulitzer?

One of my favorites, Avara, has clothing designed for women of all ages. They offer several cute dresses in colorful palettes, as well as flattering denim, blouses and seasonal apparel.
