The After Party Sale occurs twice per year and is the only time that Lilly Pulitzer marks down prices online. And they go BIG on the discounts – with most sale prices 60% or more off the original price! High-quality dresses, cardigans, workout gear and more, are available a significantly reduced price during the short time period for this sale.

Traditionally the summer sale has more inventory than the winter sale as well, so there’s a lot to cover! Plus a little peek of Lilly Pulitzer for Target 2019!

Lilly Pulitzer Style

In my opinion Lilly Pulitzer embodies female empowerment and elegance. Featuring many colorful patterns and gold embellishments, the designs make a statement that parallel one of her most famous quotes, “Everything is possible with a little sunshine and a little pink.”

I love the Lilly Pulitzer brand for its individuality and high-quality clothing that lasts through the years. A few of my favorite Lilly Pulitzer pieces and styles over the past year:

Every outfit always brings me joy and a little extra kick in my step! The love for Lilly Pulitzer grows each year amongst others as well. Lilly’s fandom spans from young girls with dresses to match their mother, to women who grew up watching Jackie Kennedy styled in Lilly Pulitzer.

When is the Summer 2019 Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale?

So many people are asking, “When is Lilly Pulitzer’s summer sale?” The date of the sale is always kept secret until a few days in advance. Looking back at past Lilly Pulitzer sale dates, they tend to run at the end of August or early September.

Past summer Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale dates:

2018: September 10-12
2017: August 28-30
2016: August 22-23
2015: August 17-18

While nothing has been announced, the rumors are that the APS will fall within the first two weeks of September. If the pattern stays the same this year, the dates for the summer 2019 Lilly Pulitzer sale will likely be around September 9-11, 2019 online with in-store shopping beginning one or two days prior. These dates are simply estimates. My Lilly Pulitzer contacts will text me when they can release the date. I will update here as soon as I hear the official date! Follow along for the announcement.

Update to the Lilly Pulitzer APS date:
As predicted, the Summer 2019 Lilly Pulitzer sale is Monday, September 9, 2019 through September 11, 2019 online. In-store shopping will be available before the online sale from September 7-8, 2019 in Lilly Pulitzer stores.

Summer 2019 Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale:  Tips

• The sale online is typically in late August or early September. Lilly Pulitzer stores will likely start the After Party Sale the day before the online sale as a preview. Store selection may be more limited but it’s the best way to truly see and feel the items on sale. Expect a line outside the stores to start early. If you want to avoid the crowd, going to the store in the afternoon makes the changing room more accessible.

• Set up and verify a Lilly Pulitzer account in advance. Having your Lilly Pulitzer account pre-created saves time at checkout. Have address and billing information entered into your Lilly Pulitzer account. Verify your information in advance. Lilly Pulitzer has said in the past that you will not be able to do this on the morning of the sale, prior to 7am CST, so I recommend doing managing your account now.

• Know your sizing in advance. You can look at this sizing chart here. Or you can use the “Fit Predictor” tool. When you shop an item, Lilly uses a “Fit Predictor” to help find your best size based on other brands you may wear. (As an example, click on this item, scroll down as if you are going to select a size, use the adjacent “Fit Predictor” tool to determine your recommended sizing.)  Since all sales are final, invest a few minutes to learn what sizes you wear in Lilly Pulitzer. Doing this in advance will save time during the sale.
  
• The Lilly Pulitzer app will be off during the sale. To shop online, use Lilly’s website on your computer, phone or tablet. I recommend shopping on your computer as you can browse several items at once.

• Be ready for the online sale to start. The sale usually begins at 7am CST in the morning. By 7:01 there will be a virtual line to get into the sale on the Lilly website that is several thousand people long. Starting at 6:59 am I click refresh often until the sale begins. Once you are in the sale or in a virtual line, do not click refresh. If you refresh while in the virtual line you will lose your place and the wait time will start over.

• The virtual line to get into the sale online usually goes faster than predicted. For example, if the wait time is listed at an hour, you will often have access to the sale in less than an hour. There is a ringing sound that is made when you are moved from the virtual line into the After Party Sale so keep your volume up.

• Plan in advance and shop quickly. Items go very fast, especially more popular items like unique prints, embroidered items, and jewelry. Shift dresses, above all, tend to go first. Know what you want from the sale in advance. Refer to my After Party Sale Pricing Estimates guide below to help budget your wishlist. Items are not reserved while they are in your shopping cart. The purchase must be completed in order to reserve items. Once you complete the purchase, if you want to re-enter the sale you have to start the wait time over again.

• Check back on the sale periodically for added items. Lilly Pulitzer will add new items to the sale throughout the sale. Usually the second day of the online sale has a handful of new pieces and minimal to no wait time. Lilly Pulitzer often notifies customers over social media or email when new items are added.

• Stock up on gifts for others. Get a jump start on holiday shopping. Lilly’s cashmere cardigans make great gifts for close friends and family. After Party Sale jewelry and planners are excellent options for stocking stuffers. The sale is the perfect time to take advantage of high quality gifts at a fraction of the price!

• Shipping is free, but will may take a few weeks. Due to the surge in orders, it may take 4 weeks to receive your items. Expedited shipping is not available. On average, my items arrive in 1-2 weeks.

Summer 2019 Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale: Pricing Estimates

Over the course of the years, I have watched the annual sale closely to gauge an idea on different sale prices. I don’t have any other behind the scenes insight, and I am not affiliated with Lilly Pulitzer, this is just based on past prices and trends. These items are some of the more popular items sold in the sale. With that being said, these prices are not a guarantee or all-inclusive, but can hopefully provide a ballpark estimate to the Summer 2019 Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale.

Dresses

The bread and butter of Lilly Pulitzer, get excited for the many dresses that will be on sale! Stock up on maxi dresses for fall and the UPF 50+ line for days in the sun. On my wish list this year: the Franci High Collar which is also available in a matching girls dress. Hello, cute family portraits!

Tops

This summer should include a wide variety of tops, both long sleeve and tank tops. Unique tunics tend to go first, while Elsa tops tend to have some of the larger assortment of prints and colors.

Cardigans and Sweaters

As we enter fall, these are definitely going to be a hot item. I love layering cardigans on over dresses in the cooler months, or styling with a cami, jeans and booties.

Bottoms

It can seem a little risky to order bottoms without trying them on. If you have access to Lilly Pulitzer near you, I recommend trying on some of their pants in advance to determine your size. This is a great time to stock up on their skinny pants if you are in the market.

My favorite from last year that will likely be back is the Faye skort, with an estimated price around $34!

Activewear

Lilly Pulitzer’s UPF 50+ Luxletic line is one of the cutest and safest with its sun protection factor!

Miscellaneous: Accessories, Girls, Men and Boys

There is a lot of good stuff that falls into this category! Lilly does a great job in creating patterns that can be worn amongst all members of the family, making for great family portraits and holiday cards.

Amongst the accessories I love are Lilly Pulitzer’s jewelry. Her jewelry line generally keeps the same shade of gold, making it easy to mix and match pieces through the years. A good portion of jewelry usually runs around $19-24 during the sale. Charms are priced cheaper, and more elaborate jewelry runs higher.

In the years past, I have not covered much of the girl’s clothing but did a little after a few requests. If you want me to include more in the next sale, please let me know if the comments! 🙂

Lilly Pulitzer for Target 2019 Announcement

We never thought the collaboration would return, but Lilly Pulitzer will be returning to Target on September 14, 2019! Yes, just like Lilly Pulitzer for Target went live in 2015, it will be back again! Target announced they are relaunching a limited selection of items in celebration of 20 years of designer partnerships. In addition to Lilly Pulitzer for Target, several other brands will be featured, including Hunter, Zac Posen, Erin Fetherston and more! The Anniversary Collection will be available in all Target stores and Target.com on September 14.

This 2019 Lilly Pulitzer for Target collaboration will include colorful prints for dresses, household items and more! Prices for the entire Anniversary Collection will range from $7-160, with most items being under $50. People Magazine released photos of the collaboration below. Between the 2019 Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale and Lilly Pulitzer for Target, there are sure to be some great deals ahead!
