How was your weekend? My boyfriend and I had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. The highlight of the weekend was Saturday, where we went to cheer on our TCU football team and then met his friend’s newborn baby girl! Oh my goodness, newborns are the sweetest. Afterwards we stopped by the store and picked up a fresh Christmas tree. It definitely leans towards one side like a tree out of a Dr. Seuss book, but that adds character – right?! Haha. I love it, he loves it and of course, my cat loves it. We couldn’t have asked for a much better weekend.

This weekend brought in winter-like temperatures (by Texas standards) so it was fun to wear a different wardrobe. I started wearing tights more, thick leggings and wool. This plaid skirt is on the shorter side but is made of a thick wool-blend material. It appears as if it wraps around you, but it actually has a zipper closure on the side. Pair it with a long, wool pea coat for outdoors. I love it with a gray turtle-neck or even a yellow sweater, to compliment the accent color in the skirt.
