I hope everyone had an amazing weekend! Ours was busy between work, but we had plenty of time to enjoy each other’s company before taking Michael to the airport today.
Some of my favorite posts to read from others are their recommended Amazon products. Reading these has opened me up to try new things and discover great products to use around the house! I compiled a list of some of my tried-and-true Amazon favorites. Gosh, it was hard to narrow this list down as I have so many favorites! And since tomorrow starts Amazon Prime Day, there is also an abbreviated list of highlighted deals!
I’m always looking for recommended Amazon finds, so please share yours in the comments below.
10 Amazon Favorites:
Animal Print Casual Tee – Since buying this a month ago I have probably already worn this 5 times. I love that it’s casual, comfortable and affordable. There are several print options available to create endless opportunities. I have it in the first leopard print and wear it with shorts currently since it’s hot outside, but in the colder months will style it with jeans and over the knee boots. Super simple but chic!
Silicone Keyboard Cover – I have used these for keyboard protection and cleanliness for the past couple years and they are well worth the affordable price! A couple of times I have spilled a few drops of my drink on the keyboard and the great thing is, you just wipe off the silicone cover and clean it! Extra perk: adds a little fun coloring to your workspace!
Decorative Baskets – These are my saving grace for my craft section. I love how I can stay organized and add decoration to my office. The rope detail and linen fabric is nice enough to leave out in the open. Whether for crafts, clothes or winter accessories, these baskets are multi-functional. Unfortunately, they are currently out of this specific pattern of basket, but the other options are cute as well! When not using them, they fold up and can be stored away.
Satin Pillowcase – There is soooo much great research on how sleeping with a satin or silk pillowcase is better for your skin. You know those beloved, little marks you get on your face from the pillow when you wake up? Over time that can break down the collagen, thus leading to the production of wrinkles. Silk and satin pillowcase also absorb less moisture out of your skin. There are some excellent silk pillowcase options on the market, but this smooth, satin pillowcase is an affordable alternative! My current satin pillowcase has been going strong for 2+ years!
Native iPhone Chargers – If you are like me, you have gone through 2,582 iPhone chargers in your lifetime. They break or get exposed wires near the lightning connector from sitting in bed looking at your phone on the charger. Just me? Ok, maybe. But regardless, my boyfriend got me hooked on this line of chargers and electronics because they don’t break! My favorite of these is the 10 foot version because I can keep my phone charged while still working easily, and it has a sliding weighted ball that prevents the cord and phone from falling off a table.
Meal Prep Containers – With a busy work schedule, these reusable containers have saved me on many occasions. Whether storing left overs or using for meal prepping, I love having a surplus of these containers on hand. From egg white scrambles to meats and veggies, I will store lunches and small dinners in these and reheat. When making larger foods or portions, like enchiladas, I recommend the larger size. These stack easily in the refrigerator and freezer, making me look more organized than I truly am. When not being used, the base and lids stack and store in small places.
Clothing Steamer – This compact steamer has become my go to for steaming my dresses and dress clothes. Fill with water, plug it in, allow a few minutes for it to heat up – then steam away. The size and weight are small enough to pack in bags for travel. I use it at home and can steam a few garments at a time. There is a bristle attachment that helps smooth out more durable fabrics. I’m also planning on using it for new curtains that will be coming in soon! Overall this has been a great deal for its many uses!
Makeup Brush Cleaning Mat – Makeup brushes can collect dirt, oil and bacteria that can create unsanitary conditions for your skin and occasionally lead to infection. The American Academy of Dermatology recommends cleaning makeup brushes every 7-10 days to protect your skin. I love this little silicone mat to help! Place the mat in the sink, run a thin stream of water and apply a small amount of gentle shampoo to the mat. Scrub brushes until the water runs clear.
Roomba Vacuum – For all my pet owners and busy parents, this has been my lifesaver in keeping my hardwood floors clean! I will run it a couple times per week to do its circle around the house and pick up dirt, debris, hair and fur, keeping my house more maintainable. You are definitely paying for the convenience factor, but having had this for 3+ years now it has well been worth it. I actually bought it during a previous Amazon Prime Day, so I anticipate there will be good deals on robotic vacuums again this year. Tips: (1) Make sure everything is picked up off the floor before running it. It has vacuumed my iPhone charger a few times now. (2) Place felt pad strips on the perimeter of the vacuum to protect your furniture. It has sensors to detect large objects but can run into legs of chairs. (Update: There are 3 Roomba vacuums on sale!)
Ring Cameras and Doorbell – My family makes fun of me because my house is like Fort Knox! I love having these cameras installed for security and peace of mind. The Ring Doorbell is great for seeing who stops by the door and package notifications. I use the Spotlight camera for the perimeter of my house. When the Ring cameras spot motion, they start recording. For the spotlight cameras, a bright security light turns on as well. You can talk through the cameras and listen in through the cameras. There is a small monthly fee (I pay $6 per month) to save and record videos. The Ring app also provides a crime report and alerts for your surrounding neighborhood. I have loved having the extra security!
