Even though the calendar reads mid October, the thermometer here in Dallas has been in the 80’s and 90’s! I was able to pull out some favorite flannel shirts for a short time, but the hot weather recently returned. For these days with summer-like temperatures during the day and cooler temperatures at night, I am a big fan of layers and midi skirts!
When the wind blows, this skirt moves with a gentle and graceful flow. It can easily be dressed up for nicer occasions with a blouse and blazer. For just the day to day routine, I love a casual look with a plain t-shirt and flats. The fabric and pleats are so elegant that the skirt speaks for itself.
How your weekend? I worked half of the weekend but was thankful to see one of my friends who was in town. Do you have a friend that you don’t get to see often, but when you are reunited it feels as though there was no time apart? I’m so thankful for those true friendships when life gets busy!
I also booked a flight back home to St. Louis for the holidays. It has been since March that I visited my hometown. During that trip I was fortunate to meet my newborn, twin nephews! I was able to hold them simultaneously in my arms because they were so small. It’s going to be a different story in December and I can’t wait to give them a big hug!
Hope y’all have a great week!
