Happy Halloween! This day always brings back memories of haunted hayrides, homemade costumes and then dancing around hyped up on sugar and excitement. While those trick-or-treating days are long gone, my joy resides in seeing the next generation experience this fun day!
With all the beautiful oranges and yellow colors shining in all their glory, I love wearing outfits that are symbolic of this fun autumn season. This budget-friendly and gorgeous autumn plaid skirt is a great option to embrace this colorful time of year!
The light orange and navy in this skirt are perfect as part of an outfit idea for church and Thanksgiving! I layered this autumn plaid skirt with a short sleeve turtleneck and duster cardigan. The skirt is available in other patterns (including some Christmas patterns) and has a shorter crop. I am 5’3″ for reference and the skirt hits a few inches above my knees. In colder weather, this works well with tights and a thicker cardigan.
What is everyone doing for Halloween tonight?! Normally I pick up the Halloween evening shift to allow others time off since I don’t have kids, but after several years of working the holiday I am actually off work tonight! I have never passed out candy since living in Dallas and I cannot wait to see all the neighborhood kids in their costumes! If you need a last minute dessert or costume idea, I linked a few. Hope everyone stays safe and warm!
Live your life joyfully so,
Ashley
