It’s no secret velvet is the hot fabric this season. There’s velvet dresses, velvet tops, velvet belts, velvet details, velvet chairs, etc… While it may seem redundant, this stuff is flying off the shelves. I bought this velvet dress, took the pictures the same day, and now two days later it’s already sold out. When I went to find alternative similar options, most of the options are brand new and only with a couple sizes remaining – or already completely sold out.

Up until two years ago, the word, “velvet” was really only mentioned when ordering a slice of red velvet cake. (Mmm…)

Times have changed. The amount of velvet in the stores is meeting the demand. Bold color velvets have made a grand return and they aren’t going away any time soon.
