Fall invites in cozy sweaters, colorful leaves and warm coffees. With mornings that are cooler, coffee is like a tender hearted hug in a mug. And let’s be real, coffee is always a great option for the days that end in “y”. But with the daily expense of ordering coffees and lattes on the rise, I opted to create my own mini-coffee bar where I can concoct many of my favorite coffee drinks from the comfort of my own home. And for a fraction of the price! I love the concept of coffee bars for when guests visit too. It makes an easy place for them to find all their favorite ingredients to customize the coffee to their liking. To make it more fun, here are tips to create a Halloween coffee bar for a boo-tiful start to your day!
The items pictured are from several different retailers, including T.J.Maxx, Amazon, Target and boutiques, and may not have items available online. In that case, I tried to find similar items to link to create your Halloween coffee bar.
How to Create a Coffee Bar in Your House
- Find the perfect space. The area for the coffee bar doesn’t have to be big, just a couple feet to allow space for the coffee appliances, ingredients, mugs and a workspace. Use an open space on the countertop, a nook in the corner or a separate piece of furniture to designate as the coffee bar.
I have an open space under a row of cabinets in the kitchen that needed something purposeful to fill this space. Plus its proximity to the refrigerator makes it easy for grabbing milks. This two-tiered shelf was my choice for a small coffee bar. - Set up the coffee appliances. All the necessities! I like to start with the biggest items first. Think coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, milk frother, etc… Be sure to leave a little area for a work space near the coffee maker.
- Stock your coffee bar. Gather favorite supplies and coffee ingredients to customize your own coffee beverage. Here are a few suggestions how what to include on your coffee bar:
- Coffee grounds
- Nespresso/Keurig pods
- Tea bag canister
- Espresso cups
- Coffee mugs

Gather all your favorite decorations to create a Halloween or fall coffee bar. Create a color palette to stick to for aesthetic purposes if you’d like. Mix up the mediums of decor and sizes. A few ways to add spice to your Halloween coffee bar:
