Happy first day of fall! There has been so much anticipation leading up to the start of this season that now I feel it is ‘officially’ acceptable to have all the pumpkins and mums on my patio… that I set out last week. Ha. With the fall season, I love throwing on a casual flannel shirt with jeans. Fall flannel tops bring me back to days of going on hayrides and then sitting by the campfire. They are warm and cozy, making them a favorite for cooler weather. Flannel is relatively affordable and lasts for years, which is one reason why I justify having a few prints in my closet.

Priced under $30, this fall flannel top is a win. I have bought from this line for a couple years and usually pair them with jeans and booties.

Since flannel is always very popular, there are some really cute prints available! L.L. Bean and Eddie Bauer always offer a great selection of high-quality fall flannel tops. For something dressier, this windowpane print can be worn into the office with a cute statement necklace.

If you are looking for flannel and plaid inspiration, I cannot recommend looking at KJP pictures enough! I have never worn their clothing, but the pictures within each clothing item’s description portray a dreamy, autumn lifestyle. Also, I have a few wayyy older blog posts here and here incorporating flannel. Just don’t judge. Blogging is an evolutionary, but rewarding, process I have learned.

This week I have a heavy shift load at the hospital but will be off for the weekend to attend an Oktoberfest and watch some football games.
