While 2022 has been a wonderful year, I look forward to what the new year has in store. To be my best self, both for others and myself, I am writing goals for 2023 to help stay accountable. My hope is to check my progress each month and look back at the end of the year as a better mom, wife, friend and self.
Goals for 2023
Walk/Jog 3-5 times weekly: Exercise has always been my outlet and also serves as a place of worship and meditation. We have a new jogging stroller so I can bring my daughter in tow and hopefully set a good example of physical activity.
Find childcare for Emilia: This was my biggest challenge in 2022. I have yet to branch out to find a trusted babysitter for our sweet girl and we don’t have family nearby to help. With Michael having long work hours, it’s challenging to go to appointments, work on Joyfully So and go out on special occasions. I never thought this would be a challenge, but my biggest anxiety is placing our daughter’s care into a stranger’s hands. I am praying for the right person to enter our lives.
Monthly date nights with Michael: It’s been hard to make time for our marriage, and we both look forward to making it a priority!
Develop consistency in content creation: Creating an objective goal of posting three times weekly, at a minimum.
Complete five Bible studies: I am actually hoping I can do many more, but that is a minimum. I enjoy doing the studies here, be sure to check out their sale!
Weekly assessment of our marriage and faith with Michael: We have found asking simple questions (like highs and lows of the week, areas of improvement) can really provide insight into how the other is feeling and accountability towards goals.
What goals do you have for the new year?
Live your life joyfully so,
Ashley
