Between their incredible talent for home design and carefree sense of humor, Chip and Joanna Gaines have captured the hearts of America through their show, Fixer Upper. Visiting the Gaines’ store, Magnolia Market, has been at the top of my day trip list. Waco is nestled approximately 90 minutes between Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin. For those on long I-35 road trips, it makes for the perfect pit stop to stretch your legs as it’s only a few minutes off the interstate.
The Magnolia Market features the towering pair of silos, a farmhouse store, garden, assortment of food trucks and open yard to play with family. Don’t worry about bringing toys for the kids. Chip and Joanna provide balls, blankets, swings and chairs in the play area outside.
The store is filled with lovely farmhouse decor and accessories, similar to those on the show.
One of my favorite parts in the store were the adorable walls with different floral themes.
Outside of being a huge Fixer Upper fan, I loved visiting because there is something for everyone! Allow an hour or two to shop, play and wander the grounds.
If you go, I’d recommend: Camera, hungry appetite
Time: 1 hour without kids, 2 hours with kids
