Happy Holidays! This year, rather than do several gift lists, I decided do one “favorite things in 2019” post – a holy grail of items I love and use on repeat! All of these are tried and true items that some of my close friends and family have started using too! A few of these items I have mentioned before, but am going to share again if worthwhile. Whether treating yourself or as a gift to another, here are some of my recommended favorites for 2019!

Tom Ford Luxe Lip Gloss – Ok, so this is definitely a splurge but it is the BEST lip gloss, hands down! It’s very moisturizing, with avocado, jojoba and olive oils, which is perfect for the winter months. When I went back home for Thanksgiving my mom was asking about my lips – they look so much more fuller from being moisturized! I love this gloss so much that I bought it in two shades, Crystalline and Smoked Glass. If you are going to buy one, definitely go for Crystalline because it’s GORGEOUS, the pearly nude tone works well by itself or on top of any lipstick color. Smoked glass is darker, but semi-transparent. Because people are discovering this new-ish gloss, the Crystalline shade is selling out everywhere!! You can currently find that shade here.

Ugg Quincy Boots – If you are like me and get cold feet easily, you will love these Ugg boots!! These are my boots I wear when running errands, going to our favorite brunch diners or shopping – but really, I will wear them anywhere appropriate because they are so comfortable! These Uggs are like hugs for your feet! What’s also fun about them is that the top of the boots can fold down, snap in back, and be converted into a shoe if you prefer. Leave the laces as is, or change them up for the seasons with various satin or gingham laces. There are so many ways to style! Hands down, one of my favorite things in 2019!

T3 Curling Iron – (Also available here.) So I bought this about a month or two ago when there was a sale and oh-my-goodness is it revolutionary for my hair! It heats up very quickly and gives big, bouncy curls! My hair is very fine, so I apply a heat protectant and keep it on a lower setting. Friends that use this also swear by the T3!

Colorescience Brush-On Shield SPF 50 – If you have been following Joyfully So for awhile, you know as a Physician Assistant I am a huge advocate of sun protection! In the morning I apply a moisturizer with sunscreen but this can get challenging later in the day if I am already wearing makeup. This powder has been my afternoon sun protection solution! I leave it in my purse so I can quickly add touch ups throughout the day. To work it, you tap it upside down with the cap on and powder comes out between the bristles. The powder is mostly translucent, but it does come available in three different shades. Minerally-based, sweat/water-resistant and with ingredients like hyaluronic acid and antioxidants, the formula is incredible!

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment – Another favorite lip product, these have been my rejuvenating lip product actually for the last two years. Filled with nourishing oils and SPF 15, I will wear this under my Tom Ford Luxe Gloss for when I am outside or running errands. I have them in several shades – with my favorite shade being Sugar Nude. There are also several cute gift options and combination packs currently available!

Tarte Chrome Paint Shadow Pot – I mentioned this before in my autumn beauty favorites, but I continue turning to it as a favorite eye shadow because it is so pigmented! Use Top Yacht to highlight the inner corner of your eyes and make them pop!

AirPods – So this is obviously not anything new, but something I have relied on throughout the year. Talking on the phone with my friends and family is one of my favorite things to do, but I was getting tired of not being able to use both of my hands. The ability to go hands free now with these allows me the freedom to talk or listen to music without holding the phone up to my ear. (Plus dermatology side note, your phone is covered with germs that spread to your face.) I realize that AirPods are old news, but if you don’t have these yet, I encourage you to take the plunge because you will LOVE them! I wear mine everywhere! They are also great for mothers with young children, to keep both hands accessible at all times!

Lilly Pulitzer Swizzle Earrings – If you want adorable earrings without the dangle, these are amazing! They transition perfectly between day and night activities – I have worn them with scrubs at work and dressed up with dresses for date nights! They glisten in the light and add just the right amount of sparkle to your outfit.

Jewelry Pouch – This quilted jewelry pouch is an affordable gift for the lady on the go! I use this for traveling and it layers perfectly in my suitcase. Pack all the things, bracelets, rings, necklaces, earrings and more, inside this fabric lined jewelry case.

Peloton – Yes, this is an investment but SO worth it! (There is also an affordable class option I will talk about.) Michael purchased the Peloton bike last month and it is revolutionary. I’m sure most everyone is familiar with the concept behind Peloton, you can take live or pre-recorded spinning classes, interact with others, strive for your personal best or climb to the top the leaderboard – all from the comfort of your own home. The convenience factor and quality are incredible! But what I didn’t know is everything else you can do with Peloton. With the bike you can also get access to other classes, including yoga, treadmill running, outdoor running, bootcamp, strength training, core workouts, stretching and more!
