Western styles are still going strong and I am here for it! I love that you can take traditional, non-Western pieces and add a couple accessories to transform the look! Today I am adding a scarf to my outfit, which not only amps up the style quotient but also adds a unique flair. Whether draped around the neck for a classic look or tied as a belt for a trendy twist, scarves are the perfect accessory to elevate any Western ensemble! Read on for some trendsetting scarf tricks to saddle up your style.
Ways to use a scarf to accessorize a chambray dress for a western style:
Knotted belt – Fold the scarf in half into a triangle. Fold into desired width of belt, and continue folding all the way. Wrap the belt around your waist and knot.
Scarf tie – Using the same folding method as above, drape the scarf over your neck. Put the tips of the scarf into a large ring, and pull the ring up to create a tie.
Necklace – Fold the scarf in half into a triangle, and then half again to create a smaller triangle. Fold the scarf over itself at about 1-2 inch width. Knot the scarf in the middle. Wrap around neck and tie the ends together. I like to open my collar up a little with this look.
Live your life joyfully so,
Ashley
