This weekend we had a special celebration with our daughter turning one! We used a Winter ONEderland theme and it was perfect for the season. In celebration of this fun-filled event, I am sharing Winter ONEderland party ideas, tips and photos. Many of these party ideas can be applied to several different winter parties!
Winter ONEderland Party Ideas
Food:
– Take fresh rosemary, cut them into 2” sprigs and place on top of cupcakes to look like a pine tree.
– Add powdered sugar to cupcakes/cake to resemble snow.
– Hot cocoa Bar: These are great if the weather is cold. We used a Keurig with these and these hot cocoa pods. For toppings we filled glass canisters with chocolate chips, white chips, cinnamon sticks, marshmallows and peppermints. To top off the hot cocoa we included bottles of whipped cream and festive sprinkles! We also included Starbucks mocha pods which were also a hit!
– DIY stir sticks: Dip wooden spoons (bought ours at Hobby Lobby) in white chocolate, top with sprinkles or peppermint to create the perfect hot cocoa stirring accessory.
Decorations:
– Incorporate a lot of trees! We used faux alpine trees, mini pine trees and even an undecorated Christmas tree to create a wintery aesthetic.
– Twinkle lights on food tables or mixed in faux snow looks magical. We also added a cupcake stand with lights for an added effect!
– Skip the flocking in high-traffic areas, it will go everywhere.
– Fill blank spaces with balloon clusters and garland.
– White pompom garlands and white tissue paper puffs emulate snowballs.
