Happy less-than-one-week until Christmas! Even through I have experienced many Christmas celebrations, this season is always special. The gatherings with friends and family, the Advent studies, finding gifts for others and all the delicious foods. I just wish time would stand still so we could embrace the holiday more. For me, it can be overwhelming at times to try to balance the work-holiday load sometimes, that the best thing to do is just slow down.

This weekend we had a few Christmas parties. I wore this outfit to one of the events and received several compliments! The beading on the top is simply elegant. There is a thick liner under the beading to eliminate any areas of sheer coverage. (Update:  The top is now in limited selection, so there are similar options linked below.) Pair it with the classic Lady Day coat on sale.

The necklace is also a statement-maker. With its bright red, turquoise and green gems, the necklace stands out nicely on neutral colored tops. It has beautiful detailing with floral clusters and Swarovski crystals. It is truly unlike any other necklace I have worn! I wish I could have kept it, but it was a rental.
